Battleships
Austro-Hungarian "Tegetthoff" Class
- Dreadnoughts -

The Tegetthoff class battleships (Tegetthoff, Viribus Unitis, Prinz Eugen and Szent István) were the fist (and only) completed dreadnoughts of the Austro-Hungarian Navy and the answer to the Italian Dante Alighieri. They also were the first dreadnoughts with triple turrets.
The first ships Viribus Unitis and Tegetthoff were laid down 1909, ordered by Admiral Montecuccoli. The innner construction was similar to the British ships of this era. During WW I these ships formed the first battleship division of the Austro-Hungarian Navy.
