Converted from a merchant vessel at Imperial Shipyard Danzig and commissioned as Answald (FS 1). Unsuitable for service as seaplane tender she was used as torpedo boat depot ship. She was ceded to Great Britain post war, reconverted to a merchant ship and finally scrapped in1933.
