Destroyers
Italian "Generali" Class
 

In 1913 the Italian Navy started to built four classes of almost identical destroyers. The Pilo class (1913), the La Masa class (1916), the Sirtori class (1916) and the Generali class (1919). Based on the identical design the ships were completed with contemporary technology and received modifications based on the experience made durng WW I.  The ships based on Thornycroft design dated 1912/13 and were modified by Pattison; Due to modernazation between the wars the variety of the ships was increased. In late 1920s the were reclassified as torpedo boats. During WW II they served as escorts.
The Generali class consisted of Generale Antonio Cantore Generale Antonio Chinotto Generale Achille Papa Generale Antonio Cascino Generale Marcello Prestinari Generale Carlo Montanari
