Data Sheets

Completed /Built The period the ships were built and/or went on duty  (the first laid down and the last commissioned)
Displacement Construction or Standard (without fuel and water) / full load displacement in tons  [ts]
Attension: a metric ton ( 1 Tonne = 1,000 kg = 1 t; an english ton   = 1,016 kg = 1 ts)
Dimensions Length, beam and draught; length can be measured between perpendiculars (lpp), in the waterline (lwl) and over all (loa) in meters [m]
Propulsion Horsepower as designed / maximum (for steam propulsion "indicated horse power", abbr. IHP, for turbine propulsion "shaft horse power", abbr. SHP) and type of machinery, vertical triple expansion; abbr. VTE
Electrical Electrical Equipment, equipment to produce the electrical power aboard
Max./Top Speed Designed speed/top ('dash') speed in knots [kts]; 1 knot equaling 1 nautical mile per hour
Range the distance at a given speed the ship can travel without beeing refueled; mostly given at economic speed (xx nautical miles @ yy knots)
Fuel The amount and type of fuel on board
Crew Total number of complement on board (total or if available  officers + enlisted)
Main Main armament (number and caliber) [mm] and arrangement; cal .., e.g. caliber length, indicates the barrel length as product of caliber and caliber length; short barrels mean a curved shell trajectory, while long ones mean a flat shell trajectory
Secondary/Minor Secondary armament (mainly on pre-dreadnoughts and battleships) [mm]
AA Number and type of anti aircraft guns [mm]
ASW Anti Submarine Warfare
Small / QF Small guns, quick firing guns (QF) e.g. anti torpedo boat artillery (light guns used on WW I capital ships), machine guns, etc
Torpedoes Cruisers, destroyers an torpedo boats were equipped with torpedoes
Depth Carges Number of depth charges/throwers (DCT) or racks (DCR) and type
Aircraft Number of aircraft / lauch capability / type of aircraft.
Flight Deck Lenght and width of the flight deck [m]
Armour/Armor Armour/Armor the thickness of steel to protec the ship on  belt (b), deck (d), armour deck (ad), main deck (md), battery deck (bd), turret (t) and conning tower [mm]
Mines Number of mines on board of  smaller or specialized units.
Radar With the invention of radar during WW II, most capital and some minor ships received a radar (active or passive) equipment.
Cargo Load Some vessels were used to carry troops and supply to bases.
Searchlights Number and diameter [mm]; in the age before radar aided guns searchlights played a decisive role in battlefield illumination at night.
Special Special Equipment
- Not on board (e.g. torpedoes on BBs)
